Same Game Parlays in Nebraska

A Same Game Parlay (SGP) combines multiple bets from a single game into one ticket. Unlike a straight parlay across different games, the legs in an SGP are usually correlated — you can pair a quarterback over on passing yards with his top receiver going over on receiving yards.

Why SGPs Are Priced Differently

Straight parlays multiply independent odds because each leg is theoretically uncorrelated. SGP legs correlate — if the QB throws for 350 yards, his top WR is more likely to hit the receiving over. Books recalculate the SGP price to reflect that correlation, which produces a higher implied hold than a straight parlay of the same nominal odds.

Building an SGP

Most Nebraska kiosks include an SGP builder for major NFL, NBA, MLB and soccer games. Pick a game, pick legs (moneyline, totals, player props), and the kiosk calculates a combined price. Some books restrict which leg combinations are allowed because of extreme correlation (e.g. picking an under and a specific player to score over 1.5 touchdowns).

When SGPs Are +EV

SGPs can be +EV when you have an opinion on multiple correlated outcomes that the book has under-correlated in its pricing model. The classic example is fading both sides of a slow-pace game total — under the team total for both teams plus under the game total can be priced as if the legs are nearly independent.
