WarHorse Gaming is the Nebraska-focused operator behind WarHorse Casino Lincoln and WarHorse Casino Omaha. Together they accept roughly half of all sports bets placed in the state, making WarHorse the single most important operator in the Nebraska retail market.
WarHorse Gaming is the gaming arm of Ho-Chunk Inc., the economic development corporation owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. The operator built and runs both WarHorse venues — the Lincoln property that took the state's first legal sports bet in June 2023 and the Omaha property that opened in 2024.
With two of the four retail sportsbooks in the state, WarHorse holds the largest combined Nebraska market share. The Omaha permanent facility — a $200 million build — is set to expand that footprint further. WarHorse is by far the dominant Nebraska-focused operator.
Lines and markets at WarHorse Lincoln and Omaha are typically identical because of shared backend systems. Loyalty programs, parlay builders and live betting menus are interchangeable between the two venues, which is convenient for bettors who travel between Lincoln and Omaha.
